Kenworth Manufacturers were concerned because truck downtime translates directly into increased costs and lost revenue for truck owners. so quality has a large impact on satisfaction. With the medium duty truck market being very competitive, even a small decline in repurchase intent can have a big impact on a manufacturer’s bottom line. The decline in engine satisfaction could be attributed to the introduction of new technology in many of the model-year vehicles to meet federal emissions-control regulations. With the introduction of the new low-emission technology engines in both the heavy and medium duty markets. we have seen a marked increase in engine problems and a decline in satisfaction with engine performance. Many of the engine suppliers in the heavy duty market and also compete in the conventional medium duty industry and employ similar technology in their midrange engines.

GMC 4000 Pickup :
The GMC 4000 sustained a new, more modern look introduced by GMC two years earlier, but it was closer than the appearance of its Chevrolet counterparts.General Motors Corp. will give suppliers a major hand in the engineering and production of Chevrolet’s SSR pickup high-level GM manufacturing sources.GMC also redesigned its trucks, In differences were confined to minor variations in grille treatment, equipment, and mechanical specifications. Plenty of improvements went inside, too.Enough to keep brochure writers working overtime. Comfort and convenience got more emphasis than ever, and in future years the market’s demand for truck like amenities would prove increasingly important. GMC boasted of door openings inches wider than those on pwer models.

Dodge 3500SLT Pickup :
The Dodge 3500SLT pickup traced its design roots, when Dodge bravely risked an expensive restyle. Chevrolet, Dodge, and Nissan number among the truck manufacturers who have added four-door pickups to their lineup. While overall truck sales increased modestly in that devastated economy, the Dodge Series HC was exactly what the market wanted: The successor of Dodge Series , was little changed in styling, which obviously was the correct decision, but it was improved mechanically.A standard-wheel-base pickup , which happened to be the same price as a half-ton Ford. Prices were low, because hardly anything was standard.Dodge restyled the light truck line and rode to even greater success, but the recession cut volume short again. The Dodge 3500SLT pickup was clearly one of the most successful Dodge trucks of a dreary decade.

Mitsubishi Fuso Shows Concept of Its Eco-Hybrid Medium Duty Cabover Work Truck :

Mitsubishi Fuso has developed a unique hybrid electric vehicle (HEV).The new Fuso hybrid electric commercial truck combines a small, clean-burning diesel engine, an ultra-slim electric motor/generator. The result is a medium duty truck that achieves up to 30% better fuel economy in delivery applications and also produces significantly less emissions than its standard diesel. The new Mitsubishi Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid features a parallel hybrid system, that incorporates the company’s latest advancements to deliver ecologically responsible, economical performance. The generator converts brake energy into electric energy and stores it in the lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery for the next moving off or acceleration. This vehicle shows the technological capabilities and environmental dedication associated with the Fuso brand.

Stewart Panel and Dump Truck

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Stewart was a small regional maker of  light  and medium-duty trucks. Stewart built good trucks, including the  Stewart panel and dump truck. It had the distinction of building its own high quality bodies. Stewart never competed with volume makers like Ford or Chevrolet, or anyother. But it affected  some competition to low production builders.By 1935, seeking low end sales in a depressed market,For those who needed more power and speed, the stewart trucks had plenty of power to handle normal highway speeds, and the 1 tonners shared clean lines with their handsome Buddy based little brother. The  Ford trucks are the utility versions of one of history’s most important motor vehicles.

A dump truck is very useful. This construction vehicle is used to carry many different things at a construction site and it comes in all shapes and sizes. It is not very compicated. Dump trucks typically have one cylinder or a pair of cylinders that lift the bed. The only unique thing about these cylinders is that they often telescope, giving them a very long range of motion. A dump truck is truck used for transporting loose material  for construction. A typical dump truck is equipped with a  operated open-box bed , the front of which can be lifted up to allow the contents to be deposited on the ground behind the truck at the site of delivery. In the UK the term applies to off-road construction plant only, and the road vehicle is known as a tipper or tipper lorry.A standard dump truck is a full truck chassis with a dump body mounted to the frame.

The term ‘Dump’ Truck is not generally used by the mining industry, or by the manufacturers that build these machines. The more appropriate  for this strictly off road vehicle is, ‘Haul’ truck and the equivalet European term is ‘Dumper’. The classification bottom and side for example, describes how the loaded material is discharged once loaded. This large capacity truck is used for the transportation of coal from a loading device directly to a power station or bulk storage area.Dump truck drivers who can also operate heavy machinery will find it much easier to find work with any construction company.Dump trucks aren’t really made for speed, they’re more the workhorse of the trucking industry and as such, dump truck drivers usually work within a set area. It’s uncommon for dump trucks to be out on the highway when transporting their loads.

Improve Your Truck Faster Than A Witch

Friday, August 15th, 2008

If you plan to use your truck like a car, desiring quick, quiet acceleration and rarely ever haul a heavy load and don’t plan to it for a long time, you may want a gasoline engine. Gas engines run smoother, fuel is easier to find, and gas engines start easier in cold weather. If you plan to use your truck for towing, value good fuel economy and plan to put plenty of miles on it, you may want a diesel. The price to buy a diesel truck is really high, although they can offer you a lot in return.A diesel truck will go just about anywhere; they get relatively good mileage for the horsepower and the rating is more  than a work truck.

Dodge :
The 2500 and 3500 Dodge trucks are the newest 3/4 and 1 ton trucks on the road. Back in 2002, the Ram didn’t have enough power with the 245 HP 9.5L. Dodge promised more powerful engines for the 2500/3500 platform and they delivered on that promise. The new base engine is the 5.7L gasoline V-8 that’s not only the most powerful engine of the group at 345 HP but also revives the well known and historical Hemi name.

Ford :
Ford  trucks helped push the 3/4 ton and 1 ton truck market to where it is today when it introduced it’s international engineered power stroke diesel back in 1994. Before 1994, these diesels were poorly built and no match for the big gasoline engines. From 1994 to 2002, over 70% of super duty Fords were sold with the optional 7.3L V-8 diesel engine. This engine helped to put Ford among the leaders in diesel trucks, as they had more than they needed to dominate the market.

Chevrolet/GMC :
Over the years, diesel trucks have proven to be effecient with mileage, great for towing, and easy on maintenance. Unlike gas engines, diesel engines do not have spark plugs, which means you won’t need to get them tuned up near as much as gasoline engines. For those who like to haul heavy loads on a frequent basis, diesel is the way to go. You can get quite a few miles per gallon, and diesel trucks are built to go 250,000 miles or more before the engine needs to be rebuit, making them a purchase that is more than worth your money.Even the more conventional bodies were not yet built by Chevrolet trucks, so most sales were for the bare chassis. Dealers often ordered bodies and sold the truck complete.Attitudes about trucks were changing fast.Lots of people used them for double-duty; cargo hauling and personal transportation. An eye-catching truck could also promote a merchant’s services. The market for slick pickups was out there, and Chevrolet was one of the first to take advantage.

Mitsubishi’s Quality Truck Parts

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

When you say the word Mitsubishi, it can mean a lot of things. After all, the Mitsubishi is a brand that is used by a lot of companies. These companies have a common legacy and tradition of excellence . The first Mitsubishi company was a shipping firm founded by Yataro Iwasaki in 1873, with the name Mitsubishi Shokai. Later, Mitsubishi expanded to include coal mining, shipbuilding, banking, insurance, warehousing and trade, and had a diverse array of products ranging from paper, steel, electrical parts, automobiles, and even aircraft.

Mitsubishi gained a role in world history in terms of aviation as it was the manufacturer of the famous Zero aircraft which was widely used in aerial conflicts in World War II. And after the war, Mistubishi was divided into various companies that were independent of each other in 1946 but still utilized the technology acquired by Mitsubishi and its technical strengths as well. And among of these companies are Mistubishi Motors and the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, which are entirely devoted to the manufacture of cars and trucks respectively. These divisions of the Mitsubishi conglomerate supplied cars and trucks to an international market. As well as automobile components like Mitsubishi Truck Parts and Mitsubishi Truck Accessories.

Trucks made by Mitsubishi are renowned for their reliability. And the reason for this is because almost all of the trucks manufactured by Mitsubishi share a common construction of Mitsubishi Truck Parts. Take the engine as an example. Light to medium-duty Mitsubishi trucks, such as SUV trucks and pick-up trucks, are often equipped with an efficient gasoline, while trucks often have more powerful four stroke turbo intercooler diesel. Mitsubishi Trucks also share similarities when it comes to the drivetrain. Mitsubishi trucks often use the same type of transmissions as other cars, which can be either an automatic transmission or a manual transmission with synchronizers. Some heavy-duty trucks however, have manual transmissions with no synchronizers installed. The reason for this is because manual transmissions with synchronizers have a lighter weight than synchronized transmissions, though this trend is losing popularity in trucks as automatic and semi-automatic transmissions and becoming more and more common. Other Mitsubishi Truck Parts that share construction in all truck models include the steel or aluminum chassis, and the pneumatic, hydraulic, water, and electrical systems of the truck.
