Hino Truck ranked highest in the cab ove engine segment and GMC ranked best for dealer service satisfaction. According to the California based marketing firm, Peterbilt’s performance is based on its model, which accounts of its medium duty truck sales. Peterbilt continues to demonstrate its strength in the medium duty markets by providing products of the highest quality. Peterbilt received the highest scores in two of the four factors that comprise overall conventional product satisfaction, performance and cost of ownership and was significantly higher than the industry average in quality as well. In the five areas that make up the performance factor, Peterbilt scored significantly higher than the industry in all of them, and led in three - interior, exterior and engine.
Peterbilt also made a medium duty production line. Medium duty truck product satisfaction is based on six key factors of ownership: vehicle quality; vehicle engine; vehicle transmission; ride, handling, and braking; vehicle cab interior; and exterior design and styling. Peterbilt’s medium duty trucks, aimed at municipal markets of buses, trash and construction vehicles with much higher stop and go action that would generate more electric power. Kenworth, Sterling, Chevrolet, GMC Truck, Ford, and Freightliner also perform above industry average in overall satisfaction in the conventional medium duty truck segment. Hino ranks highest in overall customer satisfaction in the cab over engine market segment. UD Trucks/Nissan Diesel and Mitsubishi Fuso also finished above industry average in the cab over engine market segment.GMC Truck dealers scored higher than other truck dealers in dealer attitude, service initiation, and service advisor/write-up person, noted the release. Chevrolet, which scored highest in service delivery process, service quality, and price of service, ranked second behind GMC Truck. Ford also scored above industry average.
