As far as variety goes, there are about as many RC cars as there are models of the real thing, and probably even more. Take for instance the Chevy. There is no lack of RC models available if you go for the classic trucks in this arena; or for their sports car line, like the Chevy Corvette.
Chevy RCs are definitely more for the collector than the racer, unless you custom-make your RC racer to have the body of a Chevy, that is. Let’s take a look at some of the more popular Chevy RCs:
Muscle Machines 1957 Chevrolet
This comes in pretty big at a 1:8 scale and is truly a classic. Accessories included are the charger, battery pack, and features working headlights, a decidedly detailed interior, custom wheels, and super glossy paint. Average price is between $60-$80. Other Chevy Muscle Machine models available are the 71 Camaro and the Camaro Z28, also in 1:8 scale and similarly priced to the 1957 Chevrolet.
1969 Chevy Camaro Z28 RC Electric Car
Made by Playmaker Toys, this 1969 Camaro model is produced at a 1:18 scale and features working head and tail lights, and is a four-function car (as in forward, backward, left, and right). This is definitely for the real Chevy collectors out there, and at $30-$40, it’s not a bad deal at all.
1998 Chevrolet Corvette GTS IR Control Mini RC Car
For the mini RC fans out there, this Chevrolet for sale is for you. It features a body that is all metal, racing tires made of rubber, and a miniature Corvette engine. The remote control wristwatch doubles as just that, a watch, and the mini RC car itself claims to mimic everything that its real nemesis does; this is probably because General Motors itself is said to have licensed this baby as a true 1:32 mini RC. This has a MSRP of $49.95 to $69.95 but can be bought at less than half that price at many online hobby stores.
Chevy truck for sale models are also available as RCs - such as the Chevy SSR RC Truck and the Chevy 4×4 Monster Truck. Average prices for RC trucks are a little over $100, but if you’re lucky, some websites have them on sale for as much as 50% off. Also many freightliner truck models are available.
Many Chevy owners who have at one point in their lives owned a classic are thrilled when they find model RCs that resemble the very cars they once owned. So, whether you’re just a beginning collector of classics, or if you’re a seasoned collector looking to expand your line of cars, then the Chevy is definitely the way to go.

Ford has always been known to produce large Classic trucks. In fact, their F150 pickup truck is the best selling truck of all time. But the F150 is not the only great truck you can find in Ford’s lineup. The Ford F-350 is also one great heavy duty truck which has its own set of good attributes. There are numerous features and capabilities in the F-350 that has attracted truck drivers to come to love the vehicle. The first thing that will strike you about this Classic truck is its size. The truck is truly designed to take on the heaviest of load. It has a towing capacity of 15,000 pounds which makes gives it the capability to tow heavy trailers, campers, fishing boat, or even livestock. The truck also has amazing off-road driving capability which makes it one of the top choices for any truck driver in town.
The Ford F-350 is available with three different choices of engines - all of which are capable of providing adequate power, as capable as a Volvo vent visor in protecting a car’s interior from snow or rain. Consumers can choose from either a gasoline powered V8, a massive V10 gasoline engine, or a 32-valve 6-liter, PowerStroke turbo-diesel V8 engine with cast iron cylinder block and cylinder head. For the diesel engine, an EVRT system is standard. The electronic variable response turbocharger balances the thrust needed by the wheels. This capability increases the fuel efficiency of the diesel engine. For those who would want to buy an F-350, there are two gearboxes to choose from - a five-speed automatic transmission and a six-speed manual. To protect the car’s occupants or anything it is hauling, the Ford F-350 is equipped with TBC or the Trailer Brake Controller which balances the braking of the trailer. Disc brakes are also standard across the board; all wheels are fitted with high performance discs and equally high performance pads. The F-350 also has an anti-lock braking system which offers safe braking even on emergencies.
Whether you go for a gasoline or a diesel engine, your Ford F-350 will come with a huge 38-gallon fuel tank which holds enough fuel to feed the hungry horses inside the massive combustion chambers of the three engines. Gas mileage for the F-350 is not revealed though since EPA does not require vehicles such as this to state their gas mileage. This makes sense since most of these vehicles will be used commercially and not just for cruising around town. The suspension system of the truck which gives it great off-road driving capability is a mono-beam suspension in the front with massive coil springs and an equally massive stabilizer bar. This truck is really made for heavy duty purposes. The rear suspension system is a solid axle with huge leaf springs and another huge stabilizer bar. Both the front and the rear suspension system sports heavy-duty gas-pressured shock absorbers. The configuration of the suspension system gives the Ford F-350 a responsive steering and a good stability.
The ride though is quite another story. Just like other pickup trucks, the ride may be stiff if the truck bed is empty but once it is loaded the truck gives an exceptionally smooth ride. The interior of the truck also looks great and almost luxurious. This is because of the leather trimmings, its sun roof and other features one would commonly find in a luxury car. The black leather bucket seats are the most notable feature of the cabin of the truck which gives it an aura of luxury. The controls and the instrument panel are designed with convenience in mind. The truck may be designed for heavy duty jobs but the interior design also ensures comfort and sophistication.

Chicago Auto Show has this Classic theme. And Detroit’s Big 3 wage war over other automakers is actually to prove that they are worthy of amassing praises concerning the production of environmentally friendly vehicles. But General Motors Corp. is putting more emphasis on the manufacture of Classic trucks. At the prestigious auto show, GMC will showcase two trucks and a crossover sport utility. However, the most captivating model, as anticipated, will be the Denali XT concept, a hybrid pickup truck. The low-slung muscular car-based concept which boasts of its green credentials will be displayed at the show this Wednesday.
GM’s GMC brand has been tailored with a sophisticated expert pedigree. But in flaunting the Denali XT concept, the Detroit automaker intends to prove that GMC truck parts are evolving with time. The venerable truck brand wants to prove that improvement never sleeps.Warrack Leach, the Denali XT’s lead designer, described it as a Classic pickup for guys that pine for “a truck with badness but don’t necessarily need a truck everyday.” In other words, there are more things that the truck intends to offer. Fuel efficiency, improved power, better handling, superb ergonomics, and enhanced truck capabilities are just few of the features of the pickup truck concept.

The Denali XT’s new 4.9-liter version of the automaker’s V8 features fuel injection and active fuel management, which when mated with the two-mode hybrid system and E85 ethanol capability, delivers a 50 percent raise in fuel economy over similar small pickup trucks. Another milestone about the truck concept is the coupling of the automaker’s two-mode hybrid system with an E85 ethanol-capable engine. The concept’s new small-block V-8 features fuel-injection and active fuel management.
The truck is derived from the automaker’s Zeta rear-wheel drive architecture that serves as the underbelly for the new Pontiac G8 sedan and the upcoming Chevy Camaro. It was designed and constructed by GM’s Holden unit in Australia, where the notion of a modern truck that blends fuel efficiency, sports car handling and function, picture a weekend camping and racing across the dunes of the Outback - is more commonly embraced, reported The Detroit News.
Shoppers shift to small and fuel-efficient cars continues. As such, automakers are worried about the sales of their gas-sipping huge vehicles. GM was also worried. This is why the largest American automaker decided to tweak its truck DNA a bit rather than lose a significant slice of the market.

Because gas prices are climbing at a steady and steep rate, a lot of people who require the use of Classic pickup trucks for their personal or professional lives find themselves suffering. Generally, those people who use trucks on a daily basis, especially for their jobs, need such a big vehicle because they are carrying heavy loads. In such cases, a lot of them prefer a pickup truck diesel rather than a gas powered truck, because these pickup truck diesels are specifically designed to tow or carry extremely heavy loads without showing ill effects.
For the most part, the same Big Three names which make the more popular gas driven pickups also make up the most favored diesel engines: Dodge, GMC, and Ford. Harley Davidson, Cadillac, Nissan, Toyota, and even Mitsubishi all have at least one brand pickup truck diesel as well.
The capabilities of the exterior of a pickup truck diesel engine have an effect on their interiors, which are generally designed to be roomy and comfortable for the passengers, even when the Classic truck is engaging in rough activities. For that reason, some sort of sound cushioning or even sound proofing is often incorporated. The windows are thick, the chassis is built solidly and sturdy, and there are usually double layers located within the doors. Most pickup truck diesel engines also have intake resonators and exhaust systems with low restriction, which further blocks out the effects of road noise and rough terrain.
Most pickup truck parts diesel engines come fitted with multiple valves which is designed to offer the maximum amount of power, which in turn allows diesel trucks to pull and carry heavier loads, thanks to high amounts of horsepower and torque - generally 300 horsepower or better, and 365 feet per pounds of torque or better. The majority of them also have electronic throttle control systems. These make for high quality transmissions which can handle all different types of altitudes equally well. Their steering systems are also advanced, because handling heavy loads safely and confidently is important.
It may be beneficial to look into purchasing a pickup truck diesel driven. Research shows that their outdoor capabilities can actually save money in terms of gas and maintenance, especially during a long run of time. That being said, they might be for everyone, but those who rely on their pickup trucks may want to consider them; they provide excellent standard safety features as well, which is just as important if your job requires you to frequently haul heavy loads or drive through rough terrain.

Motor Corporation has gone a long way and it is determined to make the most out of every segment in the American auto market. This time around, it attempts to conquer the full-size truck market. As perceived by auto analysts, Ford, GMC and Dodge have already established loyalties among its customers. In fact, they account for more that 90 percent of the entire full size Classic Truck sales in the United States. “This is not the car market of the 1970s and ’80s, where the domestic automakers failed to match in terms of quality. The Detroit brands have the upper hand in full size classic trucks.”Lutz further added, “All the people who bought American full size pickup trucks, regardless of manufacturers, or full size sport utilities are deliriously happy with their products.”The American truck owner — Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, GMC, it doesn’t matter — is intensely loyal and enormously satisfied with the truck.”
Full size truck market is far different from many industries. Ford, GMC and Dodge have loyal customer base. So far this year, 672,700 units of world’s best-selling F-series trucks from Ford were sold. GMC comes next with 539,300 sales of Chevy Silverado. Dodge Ram, landed on the third place with 303,500 sales. Ford F-Series pickup truck parts seem to be never waning. Chevrolet, on the other hand, is holding on tight to its standing. Consequently, Dodge truck parts are refined to do better.
“Toyota will have a tough time taking customers away from Ford, GMC and Dodge. “The competition has a tremendous reputation. They have strong loyalty among working-truck buyers. That’s a tough thing to crack. However, Toyota’s sales percentage is soaring like a rocket. In fact, it has surged more than 20 percent and overshadowed other auto giants. “Toyota has the right image, said, which gives advice on cars. “Image seems to be the most important thing for a carmaker right now.” New trucks is given extra towing capacity, refined suspension, a tailgate that turns into a step, and a brand new 6.4-liter diesel engine. These fresh features are incorporated to Ford F-150 pickup truck parts to pave way for a powerful, manageable and improved ride. These trucks will reach dealerships early next year.
Compared to the previous year sales, Ford has sold 21 percent more cars. The significant percentage of which comes from the low-margin fleet customers. Greater percentage also comes from its best-selling vehicle Ford F-150. As a result, said model along with the Ford F-150 pickup truck parts are now considered the primordial priority of the automaker. This concern is implemented so as to keep its standing and sales in the pickup truck segment. As a fact, Ford has a better standing in the pickup truck segment. Moreover, this standing is well-protected and secured by the automaker. To further protect its standing, the automaker has launched an upgraded version of its trucks. These trucks are expected to heighten the customers desire to possess high-performance vehicles.
GMC is also unraveling a brand new pickup - Chevrolet Silverado. Said model is considered a threat that could take away part of Ford F-150 sales. So far, said model is the best-selling vehicle in the US. In the past few years, Ford has sold approximately 900,000 F-Series trucks annually. Moreover, 40 percent of F-series trucks sold are Super Duty trucks.

Ford Trucks are known for lots of things. You can also add to the list their love for pickup trucks which is not very surprising. After all, pickup trucks are very useful in their everyday lives from their home duties to work responsibilities. What makes pickup trucks unique among all vehicles is that this type is very flexible and could handle various duties. And now, the Ford Motor Company is using this pickup trucks to show off what the company has got to give.
For many years, the Ford Motor Company holds the second place as the largest car as well as truck manufacturer in the US but recent financial problems led to the loosening of the company’s grip on the second spot of the leader board. Recent sales figures shows how bad the company is faring as of late and Toyota is poised to take over the company’s position this year. The last year has not been good to the Ford Motor Company showing lower number of sales figures, and to make matters worse, they started the year 2007 on a very low performance in the sales department. Indeed, this would be a good way to give back to its customers and at the same time advertise the products that the vehicle manufacturer has to offer. After all, Trucks owns up to a huge share of customers who patronize Ford truck parts, accessories, and Ford pickup trucks.
David Mondragon is the general manager of the Ford Motor Company for the state. He reveals, “Nearly one out of every five F series Classic trucks we build is sold in Texas. So it’s important for us to keep giving back to the community, as we have for more than 100 years.” And with the threat of other companies, like General Motors and Toyota, ready to offer the market with bigger, better, and more flexible pickup trucks, Ford would sure be keeping the loyalty of these pickup trucks. The resale value of Ford’s vehicles is closing the gap between them and their Asian counterparts. One prime example is the 2007 Ford Edge crossover vehicle which has a resale value than the Toyota Highlander and the Nissan Murano.
While the company is experiencing lowering number of sales especially in their Ford F-Series pickup trucks, there is still hope that the company can turn around and go back to its winning ways. Its best-selling pickup has dropped sales by 15 percent from last year’s figures and this trend is likely to continue for the first half of the year due to the expected softness in new home construction. The company, if they hope to regain their position on the leader board, should stop the skid on their sales as efficiently as EBC brake pads can do their job well.

The world’s most famous truck manufacturer in terms of safety recently announced that they have recalled a number of their vehicles. The recall covers different models in Volvo’s lineup. The reason behind the recall is the discovered defect on the vehicles’ cooling unit which can cause fire in the engine bay. This development brings to mind the recall announced by Volvo’s parent, Ford, due to reported fires in their Super Duty pickup trucks.

The vehicles found with the fault in the cooling unit is composed of different Volvo models which includes the award-winning VN 610, the mid-size station wagon WG42, the VN64T, and the VNL64T770 models. These vehicles are known for providing good number of safety features and good performance level. While the fault may have posed a risk to consumers, Volvo truck has acted swiftly to prevent any untoward accidents which may happen due to the faulty cooling units. In that case, not even a Volvo vent visor would be of any use to its owner.
The problem was discovered to be a fault in the cooling system with the help of German corporation Robert Bosch which is more simply known as Bosch. It was found out that the cooling unit’s metal cover has inadequate corrosion protection. It was inferred that moisture could eventually find its way to the unit’s electrical components which would then cause severe damage or even the risk of an electrical fire. With regards to the expected reaction of Volvo vehicle owners, a spokesman for Volvo said that “it only relates to a small number of cars and we have contacted all the owners.” The spokesman also added that “if anyone is concerned they should contact their dealer.”`
While for Ford, the problem is in the particulate filter found near the tailpipe, Volvo’s problem is more threatening since fire can start in the engine bay area. The recall was announced after the fault was discovered by Volvo’s technicians following a test conducted on their vehicles. The said test was performed at Volvo’s headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. The discovery of the problem means that there have been no reported incident of fire caused by the fault in some of Volvo’s vehicle’s cooling units. The Classic trucks manufacturer announced that vehicles are currently being recalled in Britain.
Volvo’s immediate response to the discovered fault shows that they are indeed focused on providing safe trucks for their consumers. Volvo is the producer of the world’s safest trucks. The company is the leading truck manufacturer in terms of developing safety features for their vehicles. Some of the more notable safety features of Volvo vehicles are the BLIS and the ROPS. BLIS stands for Blind Spot Information System. It is essentially composed of onboard cameras which monitors the blind spot of a vehicle. The system warns the driver if any vehicle has entered his or her blind spot. ROPS on the other hand stands for Roll Over Protection System. This safety system uses sensors to maintain the car’s balance therefore reducing the risk of rollovers.

Getting finance for a dump truck is similar to getting finance for anything else. You have to undergo the same steps to find the right program to suit your needs. Whichever type of truck, dump truck, semi truck or heavy duty truck you want to buy there is a loan program for each. There are many other options available for financing.
The first place one would normally checkout is the local bank. Mostly the criteria would be to have a good credit score at the personal level and other documentation required. The previous year’ s income tax returns may be needed along with the current financial statements. If it is a new business just starting off, it also should have a credit score of 680 or higher. Such businesses are considered high risk areas and the companies should be able to meet the higher lending standards. Most of these banks as well as the financial organizations offer loan programs for the purchase of or lease of dump trucks.
When the company that requires finance for the purchase of dump truck takes up a loan program, the ownership title is transferred at the end of the loan repayment period. However, the documentation required initially to acquire a loan is a lot and hence, many companies drop the idea. When opting for the loan option, the organization has to be careful and enquire whether the loans extended are only for new trucks or also converted trucks. Most often there is lot of paperwork involved in this. However, now such companies are trying to design a system which would involve only using the applications to provide loans. The dump truck would be the collateral in this case for the loan. In most cases the credit score required is 575.
One alternative is opting for the partial finance, where part of the amount is given as loan and you put down part of the amount and finance it accordingly. These loans are easier to avail of and you may get better rates and terms of payments.Another option that these companies have is the dealer’s financing and inventory program. The lending company displays an inventory he has and the financing agreements. This kind of financing is useful for the large as well as the new start up companies. This provides an excellent opportunity to the companies to access great deals to the buy the appropriate dump trucks, as per their specific requirements.
One can also opt for the equipment leasing option. It is a contract for a longer period with a take-over option. The dump truck is owned by the leasing company till the period of rent, while the company uses the dump truck. The classic truck is the security itself. In leasing, the first and last payments are usually about 20% of the truck cost amount as down payment. This is preferred than the loan method as the initial expenditure is lower. Generally, credit history of larger periods like 2 to 3 years is not required as is the case with the loan method. The advantage of leasing is also the tax benefit.
When you are on the lookout for financing your dump truck purchase you need to consider things like the initial payment, the monthly payments, collateral required and any buyout clauses. You may even consult a broker regarding the benefits of dump truck financing. Each type will have its own pros and cons and you need to consider all these factors before selecting the correct one.

Published reports are indicating that General Motors will move up the production of their updated line of Classic GMC and Chevrolet pick up trucks by three months with the new models making their debut Some are calling this move an act of desperation on the part of GM which has been socked by extensive criticism over its product line, while others are hailing it as a bold, strategic initiative. Regardless, this is an unusual move for the world’s number one automaker, one that could help the company get back on its feet. Let’s take a look at the new Classic trucks and what they will offer to you, the consumer.
High gas prices, quality problems, and a perception that the company offers products that no one wants has been plaguing General Motors for much of the past year. With plant closures coming, layoffs pending, and market share decreasing, little good news has been focused on “the general” by the automobile press. Fortunately, GMC is battling back with fresh models set to be released including SUVs and trucks, which are th “bread and butter” vehicles of the company. Here is what you can expect to see when the new Classic Trucks enter the market.
1. Fresh sheetmetal. All new exteriors with a modified and sportier front end.
2. Modified engines. Traditional work horse engines which have powered Classic GMC trucks for much of the past decade are expected to return. However, displacement on demand technology, which shuts down unneeded cylinders at certain times [city traffic being one example] is expected to be incorporated on some motors. This technology effectively increases gas mileage without sacrificing performance.
3. New steering. Just as the SUVs will receive new rack and pinion steering when they make their debut in Spring 2006, the large Classic pick up trucks should receive similar enhancements.
4. Interior upgrades. Changes to the trucks interior as well as to packages offered will be some of the “inside” changes noticed by consumers.
General Motors has its work cut out for itself as an eroding market share is threatening the very viability of the company. Part of the reason for the move up of production is to thwart the new models expected from Nissan and Toyota that compete directly against the GMC pick ups. Both Japanese automakers have stated that they, too, are moving up the production of their popular full sized pick ups, therefore General Motors is reacting in part to their anticipated moves.
Beyond GMC trucks, the automaker will be releasing the Saturn Sky convertible, revamping its entire line of full sized SUVs, and overhauling several other lines of vehicles in a bid to win over customers.
